Miao Batik Wall Art Phoenix Fern Motif, 23.6" × 31.5"
A phoenix and fern motifs share this 60 × 80 cm Miao batik wall art. The bird and plant forms give you two ways into the drawing: start with the phoenix, or trace the smaller lines around it. Wax-resist work keeps those marks light against the indigo cloth.

- Phoenix: harmony and hopePhoenix-like birds are associated with beauty, protection and renewal. Flowing tails and lifted wings bring movement to the pattern. The bird can take different forms in different local traditions.
- Hand-drawn patternseach pattern is drawn on cloth by hand with a wax knife. Lines, outlines and placement can vary slightly, so the piece you receive may differ in these details from the photographs.
- Shades of indigothe depth of blue can vary a little between dye batches and individual pieces. Even in the same design, the shade may not be exactly the one shown in the photographs.
- Photos and colourwe aim to show the colours faithfully in our photographs. Lighting during photography, your screen settings and the light in your home can all affect how the blue looks, so the colour of your piece may differ slightly from the image on your screen.
